N64 was a console way, way ahead of its league. Being the flagship console of Nintendo, N64 had many awesome games. Crizic lists some of them here. Here are the 10 best N64 games of all time:
10. Paper Mario:
A MARIO RPG? HELL YEAH! Who in their right minds not wanted that? The best part is, Nintendo delivered. It gave us an amazing game for its flagship console at that time to play for years and years to come.
9. Conkerís Bad Fur Day:
This game was wasn’t ust funny, it was crazily funny. It also had the funniest shit ever. Yes, LITERALLY the funniest shit ever in the form of the Great Mighty Poo.
Put detailed graphics, immersive sound, and intricate level design in a game and BAM, you have Banjo-Kazooie!
7. Star Fox 64:
This classic masterpiece had the perfect console to be put on. If Star Fox 64 was made for the original Xbox or PS One, it would not have been as good as N64, which had just the perfect controls for this game. With smooth animation, detailed visuals, voice acting, and use of multiple gameplay paths, this game is on number seven on this list.
6. Perfect Dark:
Perfect Dark pushed the N64’s hardware to its very limit and gave us a pitch-perfect atmosphere. It was a kind of game every developer wishes to make once in a lifetime.
5. Mario Kart 64:
Whenever a list of best N64 games will be made, Mario Kart will always be there. A simple reason is that it was fun. Super fun.
4. Super Smash Bros.:
Smash bros. was a phenomenon, and its modern day versions are still phenomenons. Why this game was great? One of the major reasons is because of its controls; which were easy to learn but difficult to master.

Our favourite guy? Check. 3-D? Check. Amazing graphics? CHECK. Brilliant controls? CHECK! Great storyline? CHECK CHECK! Awesomeness overloaded!

Well we at Crizic are thinking to change every ‘Greatest games’ lists into something like ‘Greatest games of all time that try to match up to The Legend of Zelda’. But anyway, a game is a game. And the greatest game of all time is the greatest game ever.
