[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]ell written stories, awesome matches and amazing feud, these three are the most required stuff for creating amazing storylines. Crizic selects seven of the best WWE storylines of time.
7. Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage:
WELL LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING BROTHER. WHEN MEGA POWERS EXPLODED EVERY SINGLE HULKAMANIAC ON TV WAS SHATTERED BROTHER. AND THAT GAVE US SOME OF THE GREATEST MATCHES EVER BROTHER. Oh, sweet nostalgia.
6. CM Punk contract:
If we ignore some of the good feuds, WWE pretty much screwed us since the Ruthless Aggression, namely the LOLCENAWINS era. But when CM Punk stepped into this company, everyone knew he was special. He was a master of in-ring ability, and legendary on microphone. But it was when he delivered that pipebomb promo everyone got blown away. He took the ‘One guy stood up against a corporation’ cliche to whole another level. This storyline also gave us a five star match. What more can you ask for?
5. Daniel Bryan’s rise:
When a B plus player steps up, he turns into a monster. After Batista and Rey were booed at the Royal Rumble 2013, everyone was pretty sure that WWE would screw up Wrestlemania XXX. But Triple H stepped in at the right moment and gave us one of the best build up to Wrestlemania.
4. Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker:
A man’s quest to keep up his streak, another one’s to break it. Shawn Michaels made such simple storyline so good that it gave us two of the greatest matches of all time at Wrestlemania 25 and 26. Michaels played the character of someone obsessed with breaking the streak so well that became a lesson for other young wrestlers.
3. Rock vs. Austin:
What happens when two of the greatest starts from arguably the greatest era of WWE collide? Rock vs. Austin. The feud was simple and had many, many cliche elements, but still the two superstars carried the story that became a milestone for WWE in years to come.
2. Kane vs. The Undertaker:
Undertaker is best, when he, well, returns from the dead. Be it American Badass or the Deadman, and Kane be masked or unmasked, these brothers of destruction have entertained the fans over a span of two decades. And it was never that their feud felt tasteless; nope.
1. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon:
The storyline that shaped WWE. The storyline that MADE WWE what it is today. WCW was having skyrocketing TRP rating when WWE turned The Ringmaster into anti-hero, bald headed, The Texas Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin. And we know what happened next.
