Director: Tim Miller
Starring: Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, and Stan Lee’s cameo.
Breaking the Fourth Wall.
The one most awaited movie of the year 2016.
P.S. – T.J. Miller (Erlich Bachman) is funny every time he opens his mouth, even in a trailer.
24Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice
Expected Release Date: March 25, 2016
Director: Zack Snyder
Starring: Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Amy Adams.
A movie that needs no further description, with a title that says it all. Featuring many members of the Justice League, with minor appearances of Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Erza Miller), the movie seems to set ground for future DC films and finally compete with Marvel on the big screen.
23Captain America: Civil War

The strongest Marvel entry yet. Civil War will continue the Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron storyline and probably set the base for the Avengers: Infinity Wars movies, featuring the new Avengers team along with the first appearance of Black Panther and maybe the MCU debut of the new Spider-Man.
Expected Release Date: May 27, 2016
Director: Bryan Singer
Starring: Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Lucas Till (Havok), Ben Hardy (Angel), Josh Helman (Stryker).
Fox tried to undo a lot of damage done to the X-Men franchise with Days of Future Past, whose end credits also gave us sneak peek of Apocalypse. With a lot of new cast members and younger versions of our favourite mutants, the film will be set in the 80s, with Oscar Isaac voicing the titular ancient and immortal villain and probably an appearance by Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
Expected Release Date: August 5, 2016
Director: David Ayer
Starring: Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), and Jared Leto (The Joker), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jay Hernandez (El Diablo).
The movie responsible for once again starting the feud among fans for the casting of The Joker. Whether Jared Leto is able to live up to reputation of Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger, we’ll find out when the movie comes out. But it’s sure that it’s not going to be the same version of The Joker we’ve already seen in the movies. The rest of the cast seems quite strong though and the idea of an anti-hero team appeals quite a lot of people.
Expected Release Date: October 7, 2016
Director: Rupert Wyatt

This is going to be the most exciting thing for X-Men fans. Finally a standalone movie for the fan favourite coolest mutant of all. The 21 Jump Street sensation, Channing Tatum will play the titular role.

Marvel plans to introduce Doctor Strange to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of its Phase Three.

Expected Release Date: June 23, 2017
Director: Patty Jenkins

Wonder Woman’s first appearance will be in the Batman vs Superhero feud. But WB did pull the trigger on a standalone Wonder Woman movie to introduce the Amazon Warrior Princess before the Justice League movie comes out.
15Untitled Spider-Man Reboot
Expected Release Date: July 28, 2017
Director: Jon Watts
Starring: Tom Holland as Spider-Man
Spider-Man may make its debut in the MCU in the third Captain America. But the first standalone Spider-Man movie as part of the alliance between Marvel and Sony will come later in 2017. All we know so far is that Tom Holland is confirmed as the new Spider-Man and the plot is not going to be another detailed origin story. We already made a list of villains who deserve an entry in the Spider-Man universe. Check out our gallery of the best unused Spider-Man villains here.
14Fantastic Four 2
Initial release date for the sequel was June 9, 2017. But after the horrible disaster the first movie of the rebooted franchise was, some might have not expected a sequel. Whether it was the disputes between Fox and the director Josh Trank that caused the movie to fail doesn’t matter now. No news have come yet about any cancellations of the already decided sequel and so we’ll still consider that it is happening, although a delay in the release may be evident. Although, the angry fans might not give them a second chance, planning a sequel might not be a bad idea if they ameliorate their mistakes and come up with an exceptionally good movie WITHOUT ruining any good villains again. As for the casting of the Fantastic Four, they already have a strong one. Let’s see what the future holds for this franchise.
Expected Release Date: November 3, 2017
Starring: Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
Marvel is currently searching for a new director and not much details have yet been revealed about the movie.
12The Justice League Part One
Expected Release Date: November 17, 2017
Director: Zack Snyder
Starring: Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg)
All that the DC fans wanted after the release of the first Avengers movie was a Justice League movie. Although a bit late as MCU is already in Phase Three, but we’re finally getting what we wanted, WB’s answer to the Avengers with their ultimate DC superheroe alliance. And DC seems to be pacing up with its filming projects. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Cyborg are confirmed for the movie while Erza Miller appearing as The Flash also seems likely. We may also see the new Green Lantern in a minor role.
Expected Release Date: March 23, 2018
Starring: Erza Miller as The Flash.
Although, it’s two and a half years from now, but the fastest man alive getting his standalone film is really exciting. The Flash is surely an important member of the Justice League ensemble and we have high hopes of seeing him in Dawn of Justice and the first Justice League movie.
10Avengers: Infinity War Part 1
Expected Release Date: May 4, 2018
Director: Joe and Anthony Russo
With Thanos finally being introduced in the main storyline rather than showing just glimpses of him in end credits, Marvel is propelling its Avengers project with a two-part Infinity War arc in its Phase Three, the first of which is scheduled for release in April 2018. Not much about the cast is known as of now, but we’re already aware of the initial and new members of the Avengers, also expect some more additions to the team because many seem likely to become part of it (especially the ones Marvel is going to introduce in their standalone films) and it’s going to happen.
Expected Release Date: July 6, 2018
Starring: Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.
Who will helm the Black Panther movie is not yet decided. Chadwick Boseman will play the titular character whom we’ll first see in the Civil War movie.
Expected Release Date: July 27, 2018
Director: James Wan
Starring: Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
Debuting first in Batman v Superman, DC has finally come to a decision to bring the character in detail to the audiences in its own live action movie.
Expected Release Date: November 2, 2018
Nothing as of now is known about the movie. But we can expect Marvel’s first female-led superhero film to be an origin story of Carol Danvers, better known as Ms. Marvel, before Marvel crossovers the character with its other projects.
Expected Release Date: April 5, 2019
Starring: Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam.
Dwayne Johnson is perfectly casted for the role of Black Adam. It would be nice to see him in a different role, a villainous one, in a movie that’s supposed to be kid-friendly.
5Avengers: Infinity War Part 2
Expected Release Date: May 3, 2019
Director: Anthony and Joe Russo
With the first Infinity War movie setting up the pace of Marvel’s biggest and most ambitious project yet, this will be the continuation and the epic final conclusion of the Infinity War arc.
4Justice League Part Two
Expected Release Date: June 14, 2019
Director: Zack Snyder
Continuation of the two-part Justice League movie. Can expect to see an addition or two to the DC’s superhero ensemble.
Expected Release Date: July 12, 2019
With Fox holding the rights of X-Men and Fantastic Four, Marvel plans to introduce dozens of new superheroes with new superpowers, in its attempt to expand its reach and Universe.

Starring: Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
Cyborg will be getting its own movie which is scheduled to be released in mid-2020.
1Green Lantern Corps.
Expected Release Date: June 19, 2020
Not much is known about the movie as of now except that it’s a reboot and Ryan Reynolds won’t reprise his role. Green Lantern certainly is an important part of the DC Universe and WB plans the movie as an eleventh installment of the DC Extended Universe. There is also a chance that we may see Green Lantern in some other DC Extended Universe project before he is introduced in Green Lantern Corps.
